Things You can do to Feel Better

There are some point in our lives that we just feel down. It’s like we are stuck in a limbo and we can’t get out of it. Sometimes, all you need is a little pause to see the situation a little better. So, here are somethings you can do to feel better.

  1. Look Better and Feel Better. This doesn’t mean that you have to become skinny or that you have to look like the media’s representation of beautiful. This just means that you have to take better care of yourself. Eat healthy, go see a Bend orthodontist for your teeth, or a general doctor for a general check-up and exercise. It may take a while to adjust to a new routine but it brings wonders. You’ll notice how a change in your routine can make you feel better thus you’ll look better. A happy soul is a beautiful soul.
  2. Accept the good, the bad and the ugly. You don’t have to stress out over things that you have no control over. Accept it and let it flow like water accepting the path it goes. Be thankful for the good things, learn from the bad things and look for the beauty in an ugly situation. By having genuine acceptance you’ll learn a lot of new things. You open up new places and see new horizons.
  3. Learn a new skill and challenge yourself. You may have been in the same state for forever. No matter your age you can totally learn something new. It could be as simple as learning how to make the perfect coffee, or cooking cookies. It could also be painting or playing an instrument even if it’s a kalimba. Challenge yourself and learn how far you can go.
  4. Go au natural. Embrace what you’ve been blessed with. Go out without the full face make up you put on your face all the time. Wear clothes that you are comfortable even if it goes beyond the expectation of society. Just do something new maybe you’ll love it at the end. Stop trying to change yourself into something that you are not.
  5. Talk to a Friend. Have you ever had a friend that you can talk about everything and nothing all night long. You might be surprised with what he or she says about your decisions. Friends are there to support us and if by a chance they don’t agree with us it doesn’t mean that they have something against you they just want the best for you. Talk to a friend you’ll feel a lot better.

These are just a few of the things you can do to feel better. When you really think about it, it’s just accepting yourself for who you are and rising above the expectations of society. It is living the life that makes you feel alive. Instead of living a life that is for others.  Changing yourself for the better all for you and not because society cannot accept who you are. Live healthy, strong and free.
